Women's health

Gynecological issues can be treated successfully. Many people believe that issues that effect women are just a part of life that need to be tolerated, this is not true.

From bladder leaking to painful sex, prolapse to aches and pains, women can suffer a complex range of issues that are often unique to our gender.

Now’s the time to treat them.

Areas Of Expertise

While on a career break and living in Taiwan I experienced Acupuncture and Chinese medicine first hand. This sparked the interest in this holistic treatment and led to studying with the International Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the College of Oriental Medicine in Cork. I graduated with a BSc in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbs and a Diploma in Gynaecology and Obstetrics in Acupuncture, with Dr Trevor Wing.

My interest in Woman’s health started through Physiotherapy and I continue to treat patients who have acute or chronic pelvic pain, painful intercourse, continence and prolapse issues with physiotherapy. But now I incorporate acupuncture and the holistic approach that my Traditional Chinese Medicine training has given me. My path in woman’s health continues with TCM, to treat woman in all stages of life from teen to menopause, with a particular interest in treating fertility/conception problems, pregnancy and post natal issues.
